"A commitment to continuous learning for
older adults in our community."
Learning Unlimited is a lifelong learning program open to ALL residents. We exchange
knowledge and information through presentations, discussion, and
bouncing ideas around in collaborative, interactive and inclusive ways.
And no one is too young-or too old-to participate! Phyllis Gausman
presides.
Be at the Morris Senior Center at 1:00 p.m. on program days.
Officially established in June 2001, Learning
Unlimited's goal is to provide learning opportunities for older adults
in a multitude of areas. Offerings include enrichment courses such as
computers, armchair travel, health and fitness; courses and forums in
the humanities; trips and other special seminars.

Our Community-Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow Learning
Unlimited seeks
volunteers for the Evergreen Reader/Elder Reading Circles
Program:
The
Evergreen Reader Program is a read-aloud activity which brings
the richness of quality literature to older adults and helps
them remain creative, thoughtful human beings. Reading Circle
Volunteers choose selections from the
The Evergreen Reader,
a resource featuring the best of our literary heritage,
emphasizing Minnesota or Upper Midwest authors, as well as more
recent works and significant historical documents. The readings
may trigger shared memories leading to group discussion, but
silent listening and reflection are just as important as lively
conversation.
Evergreen Reader Volunteer Opportunities are
available at Grandview Apartments, Skyview Court, The Courage Cottage, and West Wind Village.
